Is anyone else getting G-lined from Undernet? I have been getting the connection error AUTO 1 Host used for flooding for a couple days. Is there a way to fix it? Someone to contact maybe.

Thanks

Hello Smarty and welcome to the forum!

You didn't state which server performed the G-Line your IP address so after searching google for G-line information, I came across this answer from the Undernet Forum:

"I'll inform you that this server is named bucharest ONLY accepts to the hungarian and romanian people's connections, You can't connect to the undernet if you're out side of those two countries or/and you haven't an romanian or hungarian IP to access it."

The website address that was taken from can be found here: http://forum.undernet.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9472

After reading that excerpt from the undernet forums, I decided to try connection to that undernet server. The undernet server address is bucharest.ro.eu.undernet.org. I too was G-Lined from that server as well. So it would appear that the G-Line issue would be more server related based on demographics than it would be to your IP address.

Hope this helps you.

Mark

Thanks for the warm welcome Mark

This seems to happen on every server I try to connect to. I can connect fine to other networks like Efnet and Dalnet just not Undernet. I know Undernet has a channel but I can't connect so... Maybe e-mail?

Thanks again

Smarty:

Going back to my previous reply to you, there is an email address you can use to inquire or ask why your address has been g-lined.

email abuse-exploits@undernet.org with the ip in the subject, and ask why you got gline, maybe its your ip class, or something..

Further reading on the undernet message forum, you could be g-lined due to unknown spamming and virus's.

I would suggest performing the following in safe mode.

Virus Scan
Spyware Scan

Then try connecting to the undernet again. If that fails, email abuse services of undernet and request why you're IP address has been banned. Just remember to be polite as you will get better results that way. Undernet service is not a right, but a priviledge.
