Need a great vector graphics editor?
I stumbled across Inkscape just recently and decided to share the info with you.
Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics.
From their website:
Inkscape supports many advanced SVG features (markers, clones, alpha blending, etc.) and great care is taken in designing a streamlined interface. It is very easy to edit nodes, perform complex path operations, trace bitmaps and much more. We also aim to maintain a thriving user and developer community by using open, community-oriented development.
This an awesome program. I would suggest using the stable release if your unfamiliar with Beta software.
I was able to use this great open source freeware to create excellent web graphics needed for a site I'm working on.
Their site has plenty of information, tutorials and galleries to help you get the most out of this software.
